Developing Advanced Player's Shooting
Advanced Shooting Camp
We are the most advanced shooting camp in the country. Our techniques and
drills will help you to shoot and score like the great high school, collegiate, and
pro players. These players are doing what we teach at our camps.
Older or Advanced Players
If you come to our shooting camp we want you to feel confident that we can
help you with your shooting and scoring. With our experience of doing shooting
camps for the last 31 years, our shooting instructors work easily with the
advanced players.
Drills and Techniques
Just our drilling and techniques alone will help advanced players shoot better.
Remember, what a coach drills the best is usually
what he or she teaches the best. Our techniques and drills really help
a player to shoot better and score
better.
Players practicing shooting correctly on their own
So many players practice shooting on their own incorrectly. We teach and drill
the player on how to practice correctly which is so important when learning
how to shoot well. We also show players how to practice other offensive
fundamentals so they can execute them well when practicing on their own.
Good Shooters
If you are a good shooter and want to be better, our well trained shooting
instructors can help you with those simple adjustments which will make you a
better shooter. We can also help you become a better scorer.
Advanced Players worrying about big changes in their Shot
Some shooting camps try to have everybody do exactly the same shooting
mechanics. In general this is not the best approach. There are some
differences in grip, height of lifting ball, etc. that are acceptable in
shooting the basketball. The trained shooting instructors at camp understand
the differences in shooting and will help players with them. Also, the shooting
instructors with their experience would know what to keep and not to keep
in a player`s shot.
Camp Competition
Many fundamental camps in the country, because of of their small enrollment,
will have 11th and 12th graders playing against 8th and 9th graders. This
does not happen at our shooting camps. Because of the number of players
attending each week, older players will play against players that are their
age and grade in school.
Again, with the number of players that attend the Dick Baumgartner Shooting
Camp each week, the older and more advanced players are provided with
very good competition. We have a very good number of players attend
each week for every age group.
Coaches
If you have players who need only a little refinement to become very good
shooters, feel confidant to send them to our camp. With our experience we
can easily make the one or two fine line adjustments they need. Many players
pick up the slight adjustments they need just through the techniques and
drilling we do at camp.
