Dick Baumgartner's Basketball Shooting CampWhere Great Shooters Are Made Not Born. |
COACH BAUMGARTNER
BASKETBALL SHOOTING AND MOVES INSTRUCTOR
NBA PLAYERS ---- POTENTIAL PROS --- COLLEGE PLAYERS
Lesson
The instruction for a professional or college player
is geared to what the player wishes to go over. All drills and techniques
for moves and shots are written down. Shooting Stroke and free throw are
checked first and then the lesson is individualized. Whatever the player
wants will be covered. There are some suggestions below that you might be
interested in going over. Cost and contacts are listed below.
3
Pt. Shooting
The top five 3 pt. shooters in the NBA have some slight differences ( level
of shooting pocket, ht. of lifting the ball, etc. ), but they all do the
important techniques to have a QUICK RELEASE, GREAT DISTANCE, and the all
important RELEASING THE BALL AT THE CORRECT TIME.
The reason more players are not doing the essentials is because of the lack
of understanding of what techniques make these essentials happen. Without
these 3 essentials an NBA player or potential NBA player will not be a 3
pt. shooter from the NBA line.
Check with Coach Baumgartner. He can give you the techniques and drills
needed to do the above three essentials well. Footwork, form, grip, body
and head position, of course, are important, but it takes more to be a great
3 pt. shooter.
Pull-Up
Jump Shooting
Pull-up jump shooting is the least understood shot in basketball. In general,
throughout the country, it is not understood how to practice to develop
a great pull up jump shot.
There are very few really good pull up jump shooters in the NBA. In Coach
Baumgartner`s opinion, Larry Bird was the best. He pulled up well at Indiana
State and with the Boston Celtics. He could really get his pull-up jumper
off in heavy traffic. Coach Baumgartner can give you the techniques and
drills to develop a great pull-up jump shot that goes against any defensive
player.
Free
Throw Shooting
A free throw instructor must first know and understand the two basic rhythms
of free throw shooting to quickly and easily correct a player`s free throw.
From there an instructor can check a player`s free throw routine and any
mistakes in form, footwork, etc. With Coach Baumgartner`s 50 plus years
of experience he easily and quickly corrects a minor or major mistake in
a player`s free throw.
Post
Play
LEARN THE VERY BEST POST MOVES AND SHOTS USED ONLY BY THE VERY BEST NBA
CENTERS. Coach Baumgartner breaks down the post moves and shots so you learn
easily and quickly.
Great
Footwork
He can show you the footwork and techniques that the best NBA scorers use
to get there shot off against the seven foot defensive player covering the
basket.
Pure
Stroke
Learn a "pure stroke" through a few simple techniques and one
drill.
Moves
and Shots
Coach Baumgartner teaches the moves and shots that the great NBA and College
Players use.
Coach Baumgartner is
the most active and experienced shooting instructor in the U.S. He has 50
plus years of experience in teaching shooting and other offensive skills.
This experience was gained through coaching teams and running the Dick Baumgartner
Basketball shooting camps. He has corrected thousands and thousands of players
shots on an individual one-on-one basis. With this experience he has developed
great techniques , drills, and word usage to easily teach a player to shoot.
Coaches who have worked with him feel his techniques and drills are the
best for getting players easily and naturally into the correction or the
teaching of a move or shot.
It is very important to know that Coach Baumgartner sees and knows that
there are correct differences in
shots and knows what to correct and not correct. Too often instructors do
not know the differences and will change something that should not be changed.
