Dick Baumgartner's Basketball Shooting CampWhere Great Shooters Are Made Not Born. |
ATTEND THE CAMP THAT WILL HELP YOU TO BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE
The Dick Baumgartner Basketball Shooting Camp is the most successful and
experienced camp at teaching shooting and other offensive skills. Over 66,500
players have attended our shooting camps. Throughout this time we have had
so many testimonials where players have gone to camp and then gone back and
led their team and conference in scoring. We definitely can make you a better
shooter and scorer.
If you truly want to learn how to shoot better and score better, you need
to pick a camp that drills well, and gives great one-on-one instruction. How
you are taught and how you drill with a team, by yourself, or with an instructor
will determine how you progress.
There are no short cuts. Many camps, especially for younger players will give
ten minutes of instruction and 15 minutes of drilling. This will not get the
job done. Our techniques, drills, word usage, and one-on-one instruction are
super.
Basketball Skills Are Needed In Todays Game
Whether you are a beginner or a very talented player you will need basketball
skills. The beginner or young player will need them to progress. The very
talented player will need skills to achieve the highest levels.
Type of Basketball Camp
Our camp is an offensive skills camp with the emphasis on teaching shooting.
The offensive techniques, and drills we have developed through the last 34
years are the best. With them, we will definitely make you a better shooter
and scorer.
Coach Baumgartner`s experience in teaching girls to shoot a basketball
No one has had as much experience in teaching girls to shoot a basketball.
In the last 32 years he has taught thousands and thousands of girls to shoot
the basketball well. Through this experience he knows what to emphasize and
what drills to use to teach girls to shoot well.
Talent Level
We have helped over 66,500 players of different abilities and talents. Some
of these players were beginners, some needed a lot of help, and some were
very talented. With the way our camp is structured we are able to provide
a very beneficial learning and playing experience for different talents and
abilities.
Camp Competition
Our enrollment provides a good grouping for each age level. Older players
play with older players and younger players play with younger players. We
move some players up if it seems necessary. We never move anyone down a level.
During each of our four day camps, players will play 9 games.
Best Over-All Experience
We believe our camp will provide you with the best over-all experience of
any camp you could attend.
What Coaches Want In Today`s Game
Coaches want complete scorers today. Most offenses today
require a player to be able to shoot, dribble, drive, pass, pull-up or go
all the way and finish strong around the basket.
"Sports Illustrated" had a big article about the dribble-drive-motion
offense that some of the big time coaches are now using. It is the offense
of the future. Our camp fits this type of play real well. We give you all
the skills needed to score.
Remember, coaches want complete scorers in today`s game. Also remember we
teach shooting and other offensive skills like the great players execute them.

"Our program at Loyola Academy continues to average over 20 wins a season for over a 20 year period. I can attribute a great deal of this success to my players attending Dick`s shooting camp. We have been coming to camp for 20 seasons.. Every player in our program at the varsity level has attended Dick`s camp a minimum of one time. In 1997 & 1998 we won the Illinois State Championship. We had 5 players from those teams attend division one schools. Every one of those players attended camp.
There are many camps for players to attend during the summer. Dick Baumartner`s Shooting Camp is the number one camp that I endorse for my players to attend".
Coach Carla Crowder
Coach Crowder is the head girls coach at Cabot High School in Cabot, Arkansas. She has done a tremendous rebuilding job in her two years at Cabot High School. In her two years at Cabot, her teams have won 49 games and lost 6. They won two conference championships the last two years (none before), finished second in Elite Eight in 2005, and were State Finalists in 2004. She has won a lot of awards and tournaments through the years. In 2004 she was honored by the National Federation of high school coaches by naming her National Girls Basketball Coach of the year.
Below are some quotes from coach Carla Crowder about the Dick Baumgartner Basketball Shooting Camp:
"After years of study and putting his ideas to work with thousands of young men and women, Coach Baumgartner brings the latest techniques and drills to you, your staff and players".Dick Baumgartner thought the best comment that Coach Crowder made to him was "I wished that I had brought my players to you sooner".
"Players are drilled twice daily with these proven shooting techniques. They learn easily from them because they are broken down into understandable language, with clear, concise, demonstrations. Drilling correctly with high repetitions is the tried and true method for teaching that many overlook to different degrees in their efforts to prepare their teams".
"Coaches can get the most for their players by taking them to the Dick Baumgartner shooting camps. After 15 of my players came to camp last summer the light came on for these players and almost twice as many of my players will attend the shooting camp this summer which is held at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. If players want to learn to shoot and score better this is the camp which I recommend".
